I'm afraid I can't say if this works for rodents as I cannot leave it plugged in. I have pretty sensitive hearing and the minute I plugged this in it bothered my ears. I've had it unplugged for about 10 minutes and my ears are still ringing.
I got this because I have a lot of plants and have the little gnats that breed in the soil and was hoping this would eliminate them. After I plugged it in the noise certainly caused a stir, many of them started flying around. I unplugged the unit and waited for them to settle back down and plugged it in again and got the same reaction. So it likely does work on them, I will just have to wait until I'm out of the house to use it and will update my review at that point.
