Portion Control Containers

My biggest issue on my journey to healthier eating and living is over indulgence. Not necessarily by choice, but because I've never been sure how much is the right amount. When I got the chance to try these out I was very excited, I could finally see what my portions should look like! But after receiving these and trying to figure it out, I realised there's much more to portion control than the physical size of your portions.

Take dried raisins vs blue berries, a cup of dried raisins is over 200 calories but a cup of blue berries is only 81, so while what your consuming may fit the physical size of the portion, you're essentially comparing apples and oranges, to use a relate-able idiom. Same goes for veggies, a half cup of peas is about 58 calories where a half cup of cucumber is roughly 7.

I was dismayed there wasn't more information included with these, while it does give you directions on how to figure out your needed caloric intake it doesn't give any info on overcoming the issue in regards to portion sizes. If it did this I would certainly give this more stars because I feel as is the people who pick this up and are still learning about how to manage portions vs intake would be incredibly confused and could be doing this all wrong.

Something that I think would raise the value of this idea is including a list of "100 calorie" options or something along those lines.

All in all I still gave this 3 stars because the containers are quite nice, sealable and reusable.

MLVOC Wine Aerator

So I don't drink very often, but when I do I like to have something that tastes good. I've had hard time finding wines I like and wondering what it is about wines that people like. Well I've never used an aerator before and boy I had no idea what I was missing! I opened a bottle of wine I received for my birthday and tasted it without the aerator. I was fruity but had a heavy flavour to it. So then I inserted this aerator into the bottle and poured another half glass. The first words out of my mouth was WHAT THE HE**? How adding oxygen can change the taste of something that much is beyond me, the wine seemed lighter, more refreshing and actually more pleasant.
So take it from someone who is in no way a wine connesuer, having one of these is well worth the money to improve the flavour of even a cheaper wine, plus it looks really cool too!

Basting Spoons

First I want to say I received this product free or at a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion. I see that the other reviewers have given this more stars for its quality, mine are anything but. I am aware that in every so many there will be defects and that is possibly what I received but I'm also basing this on the response from the company. Upon receipt of these I contacted them to let them know and the response was these come new from the manufacturer. I volunteered to send images of the spoons I received and did not get a reply. So I am going forward with my review of the items I have in my possession and the quality of this set.
To me they seem like something I could get at the dollar store, the handles are chewed up and the edges of the handles around the steel are not smooth, one even looks used as it already has a rust spot.

Rhinestone tennis bracelet

I am not one to spend a lot of money on jewellery but at the same time I refuse to buy something that looks cheap. That being said, I don't own a lot of jewellery lol. But this is actually pretty cute, and for the price it would get 6 stars if I could give it. I don't know how well it would hold up to every day wear and in the shower, etc. But I only plan on wearing it to special occasions. It is relatively small to start, which is good because I have tiny wrists, but also stretches out to about 8 inches.
Over all definitely worth the money!

Water Bottle Brush

When this brush first arrived, my husband asked if it was a toilet brush due to its size. I laughed and said it was a bottle brush and he just looked at me funny. That's because he's used to bottle brushes being for baby bottles, this brush, on the other hand, is for grown up bottles. Water Bottles. At least that's what I use it for. It's perfect if one of your kids uses one for coffee with lots of cream and sugar and then leaves it in their car to mold and you need to scrub around the bottom. I had no idea one of these existed but I'm glad they do, makes cleaning these SO much easier.

Vegetable spiralizer

This is my first spiralizer, and it probably won't be my last. I noticed there are a few people complaining about it, but honestly its roughly $8, and the dimensions are listed
There is no way I could get a large potato into this because it is kind of small but I used carrots and zucchini and they came out great. I even got my granddaughter to eat zucchini spaghetti and she liked it. I see myself getting a larger one for larger items but for now this works great.
I will say the top thing that comes with it wasn't very useful to me, maybe because I have small hands and fingers and didn't need it until it was pretty much gone anyway.

Dog/Cat grooming glove

So at first I was really excited about this glove, I had a similar one in the past but it was an actual glove, with seperate fingers. This doesn't impress me as much, mostly because it doesn't fit my small hand. I tightened the velcro around the wrist as tight as I could get it, but it still kept wanting to spin around my hand as I "pet" my dog with it.
My dog on the other hand really seemed to enjoy being pet with it. If this fits your hand I'm sure it works much better, but it just didn't work well for me.
