Moisture meter for plants

It works for me so I know if I need to water my plants that are in large containers. The roots go all the way to the bottom and it can be difficult to tell if the soil on the bottom is dry or not. It works very quickly as well, which is nice. However the packaging states that this measure pH as well. Um, I don't think it has that capability since moisture and pH are not intertwined and there isn't any additional gadgets or equipment, which is the main reason for my 3 star rating.
